If API3 was able to generate a critical mass of direct data providers and remove centralization on third-party oracles, this could potentially open the doors to a new wave of opportunities in financial services, especially real-time trading. Real-time risk quantification would be possible to inform investments, whilst AMMs would not need to rely on arbitrageurs to arrive at true market prices.
